It is common knowledge that the number of baby boomers nearing retirement age is quite substantial. Of the 25 million people projected by the Bureau of Labor (BLS) to leave the labor force between 1998 and 2008, 22 million will be aged 45 and older and thus will be leaving mostly to retire.
